Lobdell's: A Teaching Restaurant

Lobdell’s serves as a working laboratory for Great Lakes Culinary Institute students. The 90-seat restaurant overlooks beautiful Grand Traverse Bay and is open to the public for lunches, dinners and special events throughout the year. It is named in honor of longtime 九五至尊5老品牌 supporters Wayne and Terry Lobdell.

Lunch Service

Dates: February 7 through April 24 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Reservation times: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lobdell's will be closed during the week of March 25 for for spring break.

World Cuisine Series

World Cuisine events provide our students experience with small plate prix fixe menu service while exploring cuisines and cultures from around the world.

Lunch service consists of 3 courses of shareable plates including a variety of appetizers, main course and dessert. Dinner service consists of 4 courses of shareable plates including a variety of appetizers, soup/salad, main course, dessert and a glass of wine or beer.


  • Thursday, February 15: France
  • Thursday, February 29: Mexico (reservations open Feb. 12)
  • Thursday, March 14: Thailand (reservations open Feb. 12)

Reservation times:

  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:30–6:30 p.m. 


  • Lunch: $35 plus tax & gratuity
  • Dinner: $55 plus tax & gratuity

Study abroad fundraiser dinner

GLCI students are hosting a four course Swiss-inspired menu featuring local Leelanau raclette cheese, soup, an entree and a Limoncello style Tiramisu for dessert. 

Date: Friday, February 23 (reservations open Jan. 29)

Time: 6 p.m.

Price: $95/person. Wine pairing package ($25/person) or non-alcoholic beverage package ($20/person) are also available at time of bookingIncludes tax and gratuity.
